Shipping policy

Sefam Medical Ltd — sefam.co.uk Updated: 11th August 2026

We aim to dispatch and deliver your order as quickly and efficiently as possible. This page explains what we charge, how long delivery takes, and what happens if something goes wrong.

1. Delivery options and charges

Service Cost Free on orders over Estimated delivery
Standard delivery £3.99 £50 Typically 2–3 working days after dispatch
Express delivery £4.99 £100 Typically 1–2 working days after dispatch

All prices include any applicable VAT. The options available to you, and their charges, are confirmed at checkout before you complete your order.

Free delivery thresholds are applied to your order value at checkout. Where a discount code has been used, the threshold applies to the discounted order total.

2. Dispatch

2.1 We aim to dispatch orders the same or the next working day.

2.2 Once your order is placed, your payment is processed and checked for security purposes, your order is reviewed and approved, and it is then passed to our warehouse for picking and packing.

2.3 We aim to process orders promptly. Delays may occasionally occur during busy periods or where additional checks are needed. If we expect a delay on your order, we will email you.

2.4 We dispatch on working days only. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

3. Delivery times

3.1 Estimated delivery times run from the date of dispatch, not the date you placed your order.

3.2 Delivery timeframes are estimates provided by our carriers and are not guaranteed. Carriers do not generally deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.

3.3 Occasionally a delivery takes longer than estimated — for example during severe weather or periods of high demand on the carrier network. If your order is delayed, please contact us and we will chase it with the carrier on your behalf. Our responsibility for your order does not end when we hand it to a carrier; see section 7.

3.4 Unless we agree a longer period with you, we will deliver your order within 30 days of the day after your order is accepted.

4. Where we deliver

4.1 We deliver within the United Kingdom only. Orders from outside the UK cannot be accepted.

4.2 We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses.

4.3 We do not apply surcharges for the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands. However, delivery to these areas may take longer than the estimates shown above.

4.4 Orders are delivered to the address you provide at checkout.

5. Tracking and delivery preferences

5.1 You will receive a confirmation email when your order is dispatched. Where tracking is available for the service used, the tracking details will be included in that email.

5.2 Most of our deliveries are sent via Royal Mail. Depending on the service, you may be able to use the carrier's own tracking page to set delivery preferences — for example to nominate a safe place, redirect to a neighbour, or change the delivery day.

5.3 Parcels may be left in a safe place at the carrier's discretion, or in accordance with any delivery preference you have set. A signature is not always required.

6. If your order has not arrived

6.1 Please first check the tracking information in your dispatch email, and check whether the parcel has been left in a safe place or with a neighbour.

6.2 If your order has still not arrived 7 working days after the estimated delivery date, contact us at customerserviceuk@sefam-medical.com with your order number and we will investigate with the carrier.

6.3 Carriers apply their own timescales before an item is formally treated as lost, which can be longer than the period above. We will keep you updated while we investigate.

6.4 Where an order is confirmed lost, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund, including any delivery charge you paid. The choice is yours.

7. Failed deliveries and incorrect addresses

7.1 Where nobody is available to receive a parcel, the carrier will follow its own procedure. This may include leaving it in a safe place, leaving it with a neighbour, taking it to a local depot or delivery office, or attempting redelivery. The carrier will normally leave a card or send a notification explaining what to do next.

7.2 If a parcel is not collected within the carrier's holding period, it will be returned to us. We will contact you to arrange redelivery or a refund.

7.3 Please check your delivery address carefully before completing your order. Where a delivery fails or is delayed because the address supplied was incorrect or incomplete, we may need to charge for redelivery. Contact us as soon as you notice a mistake and we will correct it if the order has not yet been dispatched.

8. Your rights

8.1 Until your order is delivered into your physical possession, or that of someone you have nominated to receive it, the goods remain our responsibility. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that is for us to resolve, not for you to pursue with the carrier.

8.2 Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

8.3 For information on cancelling an order or returning goods, please see our Returns and Refunds Policy.
