Items sold on the Sefam UK (sefam.co.uk) website are for private patients that hold a sleep apnoea prescription only. You must agree you hold a prescription, are over 18 and that the goods are for your own personal use before you are able to check out, this is self-declare eligibility for VAT relief on your purchase. We require no other evidence, other than your self-declaration. If you do not tick the box, or agree to the terms, you will be unable to checkout. The below “Declaration of VAT Relief Eligibility” applies to all customers who place an order on the Sefam Medical Ltd website. By placing an order, you agree to the below declaration.
DECLARATION OF VAT RELIEF ELIGIBILITY
Patient
I, the patient (the name and billing address associated with my purchase), are over 18 and I declare that I am the recipient of the goods purchased and the goods will be used for my own use. I hold a prescription for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea from a qualified physician. I understand that special instructions may apply for my device and I will consult a qualified physician if in any doubt. I have read HMRC Notice 701/7 and agree that I qualify for VAT exemption.
Supplier
Sefam Medical Ltd, Company Number 13500192, are supplying the customer with the medical equipment with VAT relief as the patient has read and agreed to the terms of sale above. The patient has self-declared that they are over 18 and hold a prescription for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea by a qualified physician.

This page (together with our Delivery Policy and Privacy Policy) sets out the terms and conditions (“Terms”) on which products (“Products”) are supplied via the Sefam Medical Ltd website (www.sefam.co.uk).
By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not place an order.

2. Eligibility
2.1 This online store is intended for UK-based private patients only who hold a valid prescription for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) issued by a qualified physician.
2.2 We only deliver within the United Kingdom. Orders from outside the UK will not be accepted.
3. Ordering
3.1 Orders are placed through our online checkout process. You will have the opportunity to review and correct any errors before submitting your order.
3.2 After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This does not mean your order has been accepted.
3.3 A contract between us is formed only when your order has been dispatched, at which point you will receive a dispatch confirmation email.
3.4 Orders cannot be expedited once placed.
3.5 All orders require completion of a VAT Relief Self-Declaration. If this is not completed, you will not be able to place an order.
3.6 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. This may include (but is not limited to):
- stock availability errors
- payment authorisation issues or suspected fraud
- pricing errors
- invalid VAT relief declaration
Where payment has been taken, a full refund will be issued. Refunds may take up to 7 working days depending on your payment provider.
4. VAT Relief Eligibility
4.1 Products sold on this website are intended for individuals eligible for VAT relief under HMRC Notice 701/7.
4.2 By placing an order, you confirm that:
- you are aged 18 or over
- you hold a valid prescription for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea
- the products are for your personal use
- you qualify for VAT relief
4.3 This is a self-declaration, and we may request additional information where reasonably required.
4.4 If you are unsure of your eligibility or are purchasing as a business, please contact us before placing an order.
Declaration of VAT Relief Eligibility
Customer Declaration
You confirm that you are the patient receiving the goods, that you are over 18, and that the goods are for your personal use. You confirm that you hold a valid prescription for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and qualify for VAT relief under HMRC Notice 701/7.
Supplier Declaration
Sefam Medical Ltd supplies goods based on your self-declaration of eligibility for VAT relief.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 All prices are displayed in GBP (£).
5.2 Delivery charges (where applicable) are clearly shown at checkout.
5.3 Prices may change at any time without notice.
5.4 In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or amend your order. Where possible, we will contact you to confirm how you wish to proceed.
5.5 Payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payment may be taken at different times depending on the method used.
6. Delivery
6.1 Delivery is available only within the United Kingdom.
6.2 We do not deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses.
6.3 Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.
7. Cancellation and Returns
7.1 You have the right to cancel your order within 30 days of receiving your goods.
7.2 To receive a full refund, items must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original condition.

7.4 Cancellation requests made before dispatch are not guaranteed to be processed in time.
Faulty Goods
7.5 If a product is faulty, you are entitled to a refund or replacement in accordance with your legal rights.
7.6 Unless otherwise stated, products carry a 30-day warranty from the date of receipt.
7.7 The S.Box/Nea device carries a 2-year warranty (excluding consumables, which remain 30 days unless stated otherwise).
7.8 Where a product is confirmed faulty (and not due to misuse), we will refund the full amount, including delivery costs.
Deductions
7.9 We may reduce your refund if the value of the goods has been diminished due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and function.
8. Manufacturer Guarantees
8.1 Warranty periods are as stated on the product page or above.
8.2 For assistance with any product issue, please contact our Customer Service team.
9. Liability
9.1 Products are supplied for domestic and private use only.
9.2 We are not liable for any business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, or opportunity.
9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- any matter that cannot be excluded under UK law
9.4 Subject to the above, our total liability is limited to the price paid for the Product.
10. Events Outside Our Control
10.1 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”).
10.2 This includes (but is not limited to): natural disasters, strikes, war, pandemics, transport disruption, or network failures.
10.3 If such an event occurs:
- we will notify you as soon as possible
- obligations may be delayed
- you may cancel if delays exceed 30 days
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
12. Medical Disclaimer
12.1 Products sold are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
12.2 You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional if unsure about product suitability.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
14. Other Terms
14.1 You may not transfer your rights under these Terms.
14.2 Only the parties to these Terms may enforce them.
